The Setup: A very important chapter

i) From moving to staying put

ii) Moving from grace to law

iii) Moving from who God is to who we are

1. Our identity: a Redeemed People

i) “You yourself” have seen this

ii) You were redeemed by God, to God, for God

2. Our responsibility: Obedience

i) You are saved from the Egyptians… therefore

ii) Our identity always leads to our responsibility to obey

3. Our purpose: A holy people

i) We are precious; a treasured possession

ii) We are a priestly people; a royal priesthood

a) We intercede for the nations

b) We invite the nations in

c) We are imitators of God (Christ) to set an example

iii) We are a peculiar people; a holy nation

iv) We are all Gospel witnesses: we live it and speak it

Fri           Adventure Club, 6pm-7:30pm ages 4-10.

Sat       Monthly Men’s Breakfast: Every second Saturday of the month at 8am.

Coming Events and Notes

Ladies craft night at the church will be Tuesday, May 13, at 6:30pm. Please invite a friend! The crafts are a beeswax candle and pressed flower glass holder.

Missions Fest will be Friday May 23rd to Sunday May 25th. Details will be announced soon.

Remember to pray for the Pastoral Search Team as they organize all that is needed for when Pastor Anthony retires.
